Demand and Energy Technology (DETech) Research Consortium
Created in 2005, the Demand and Energy Technology Research Consortium (DETech), http://www.detechconsortium.com/, is an independent utility research consortium, dedicated to the investigation of “win-win” policies and innovative solutions that promote energy efficiency, demand response, distributed generation, and revenue-producing premium products and services. The focus is solutions at the intersection of regulation, utility operations and customer service. DETech has eight utility members that serve millions of customers in 22 states. The consortium:
- Facilitates discussions among regulators, business executives and other stakeholders
- Provides regulatory benchmarking and research
- Focuses on policies and technologies that drive innovation in the delivery of reliable energy
- Promotes the development and sharing of best practices among its members
DETech research contributes to:
- Increased utility revenue and earnings
- Increased customer service and value
The success of DETech is measured by the value it delivers to its members to apply the research and solutions.
