Jamie Wimberly. Mr. Jamie Wimberly founded and currently serves as CEO of the Distributed Energy Financial Group LLC (DEFG LLC). DEFG LLC has three branded business units: DEFG, a management consulting firm focused on innovative energy technologies and green tech solutions; DEFG Ventures, LLC, an investment arm that provides capital and advisory services to alternative energy companies seeking angel and venture capital; and EcoAlign (www.ecoalign.com) a full-service strategic marketing agency that develops and executes marketing and communications strategies for a variety of companies that seek to align corporate and consumer behavior with the future of energy and the environment.
Mr. Wimberly has more than 15 years of experience in the energy and environment space and is widely regarded as one of the nation’s top energy experts. He has published more than 50 articles and/or been cited in a number of trade and mainstream publications, including The Economist, USA Today, Washington Post, Atlantic Monthly, to name a few. In addition to DEFG LLC, Mr. Wimberly currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lunera Lighting, a LED flat panel lighting company.
Prior to founding DEFG LLC, Mr. Wimberly co-founded and formerly served as President of the Center for the Advancement of Energy Markets (CAEM), a non-profit think tank focused on the energy sector. Mr. Wimberly served as the Vice President of the Consumer Energy Council of America (CECA), the oldest public interest organization in the nation focusing on the energy, telecommunications and other network industries providing essential services to consumers. |

Tom Brunetto. Mr. Tom Brunetto is a DEFG LLC Managing Partner and a senior executive with over 30 years of experience in the gas and electric industry. His expertise includes general management, operations, product-business development, regulation, and sales and marketing. Mr. Brunetto is skilled in business strategy, start-up management, supply chain, business transformation and operational excellence, and customer care. He is a co-founder of the Customer Care Research Consortium (CCRC) and leads the Demand and Energy Technology (DETech) utility research consortium. Recently, Mr. Brunetto conducted assignments on business sustainability and aligning the value of carbon reduction with DR, EE and distributed resources activities, and he is assisting utilities to establish standards for the Smart Grid and AMI.
Prior to joining DEFG LLC, Mr. Brunetto was a Vice President with Cap Gemini where he managed eBusiness and supply chain service offerings for the Energy, Utilities & Chemicals North America business unit, and was a member of the leadership team that launched the Emporium Utility marketplace, an e-business that serves the utility industry. As a partner for Ernst & Young, Mr. Brunetto directed corporate reengineering, strategic planning, regulatory and marketing/sales projects for the energy business unit. These projects included rate design studies, corporate strategy, forecasting, planning and management audits. He has provided expert testimony on cost/pricing justification in Canada and states of Texas, Montana, Alabama, and Massachusetts. |

Nat Treadway. Mr. Nat Treadway is a DEFG LLC Managing Partner focused on electric market structure, retail energy products and offerings, energy efficiency, demand response, and distributed generation. He prepares the Annual Baseline Assessment of Choice in Canada and the United States report. ABACCUS assesses the states' performance regarding individual consumer electricity choice. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Combined Heat and Power Initiative. He contributed a chapter on DG to Electricity Restructuring: The Texas Story (AEI Press, 2009, Edited by L. Lynne Kiesling and Andrew N. Kleit). He maintains a blog. Follow him on Twitter.
Prior to founding DEFG LLC, Mr. Treadway worked as a senior researcher for the Center for the Advancement of Energy Markets (CAEM), a non-profit think tank. In the lead up to Texas restructuring, he served as a senior advisor to the commissioners of the Public Utility Commission of Texas on competitive resource acquisition and the separation of regulated electric distribution functions from competitive energy services. He led the development of interconnection guidelines for DG in Texas, and he led the regulatory team that oversaw eight electric utility "Deliberative Polls®." These consumer surveys demonstrated that Texans prefer a resource mix that includes renewable energy and energy efficiency; a finding supported by a decade of record growth in wind power.
Mr. Treadway was an expert witness before the PUC of Texas on the economics of energy efficiency, demand response, integrated resource planning and emerging competitive issues. In the early 1980's, he was the municipal energy manager for the city of Ogden, Utah. He served as an agricultural Peace Corps volunteer in Africa in the late 1970's. In 1970-71, he conducted field and laboratory research on river water quality. |

Cynthia Boland O'Dwyer, Esq. Ms. Cindy O'Dwyer is a Vice President with DEFG LLC, and a lawyer with LEED G.A. Certification, the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Associate designation. She leads DEFG's activities in legal and regulatory matters.
Prior to joining DEFG, Ms. O'Dwyer was a practicing attorney in New York City. Most recently, she handled general business and commercial matters with Leader & Berkon LLP. Prior to joining Leader & Berkon, Ms. O'Dwyer practiced securities litigation with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and served as counsel to Riverkeeper, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the ecological integrity of the Hudson River. |
